Aston started his career at Topigs Norsvin SA in April of 2020 as a motivated student. In 2021, he filled the position as Test Performance Manager. Through consistent hard work and dedication, he was promoted to Unit Manager of Rietfontein Nucleus in 2024. During his time as manager, he was responsible for all on-farm operations pertaining to genetic performance and production.
He is currently doing his MSc degree through the University of Pretoria in production physiology and product quality under the supervision of Prof. Christine Jansen van Rensburg and Miss Rimbilana Shingange. The project runs in collaboration with Dr Carolina da Silva from the Global Male Reproduction Services team of Topigs Norsvin.
In January 2025, Aston takes on a new role as Customer Support Manager.
