Chris van den Borne has been appointed as the new Area Manager for Topigs Norsvin South Africa, taking over from Henk Janssen, who is transitioning into retirement. Chris officially began his new role on January 1, 2025, and will work alongside Henk for the next year to ensure a seamless handover. In addition to his responsibilities in South Africa, Chris will continue in his current position as Major Account Manager for Topigs Norsvin Nederland, dedicating one day per week to the South African operations. With more than 12 years of experience in the pig industry, including roles in the Netherlands and the UK, Chris is well-equipped to support South Africa and further develop Topigs Norsvin’s business in Africa.
Henk Janssen has expressed his full confidence in Chris, saying, “I am convinced Chris is the right person for this role. His fresh ideas and energy is exactly what the business needs as a new generation of management comes on board in South Africa.”
