2019 was the first year Topigs Norsvin hosted it’s Superbru Group and saw 45 people partake every weekend. A big congratulations to this year’s winner, Mr Francois du Toit, for securing the first place with 117,66 points. He received a bottle of KWV 12 Year to celebrate his victory.
Francois believes the reason for his success was following his three-point strategy: “Every Sunday I would observe the weekend’s results. Then, in combination with the three different logs as well as the combined log, make my predictions for the following weekend and submit them no later than Tuesday. My third point is to buy the Beeld newspaper on Fridays and read the sport reporters’ predictions. I would then digest reporters’ views and change some predictions.”
The 2nd runner up was Mr. Jan Smuts with 115,75 points and in 3rd place was Mr. Stefan Vermaak with 114,24 points. Weekly, the player with the highest score for the specific round was awarded the yellow cap. Compliments to Mr Eugene Greyling and Mr. Heinz Bodenstein for each earning it twice.
